I was able to get really close to a Reddish Egret near the Lighthouse Fishing Pier today. I had a hard time deciding that's what this bird was because the beak should not be all black. So, I think this must be a young one. I couldn't choose a favorite pic, so I'm just going to post a bunch of them! Then, we took a walk on the beach where we saw more shells than we have seen in a while. I caught a pic of a Red Shouldered Hawk in a tree across the street this morning, too. It is a beautiful day to be on Sanibel Island!
Sometimes, you just have to check under the hood!!
A bouquet of barnacles!
One of the things that Sanibel is famous for . . . shells galore!
